SANTOS LAGUNA TOOK THE THREE POINTS AGAINST PUEBLA FC

Santos Laguna secured a valuable home victory after defeating Puebla FC at the Estadio Corona, in a match corresponding to the 12th round of the Clausura 2026 Tournament. The Warriors claimed the three points in front of their fans, defeating La Franja by a score of 2-1.
In the early moments of the match, the Ecuadorian Carlos Gruezo had to leave the field due to discomfort; midfielder Salvador Mariscal came on in his place.
In the 19th minute, the Argentine Lucas di Yorio created the first dangerous opportunity for the Warriors with a right-footed shot; however, goalkeeper Ricardo Gutiérrez stepped in to block the attempt.
A couple of minutes later, di Yorio had a very similar chance, once again challenging the Puebla goalkeeper.
Near the end of the first half, Lucas came very close to putting the Albiverdes ahead with a header.
The Warriors' persistence continued with interesting attempts from Bruno Amione, Fran Villalba, and Haret Ortega.
Around the 60th minute, the Warriors struck first and took the lead on the scoreboard. Forward Lucas di Yorio assisted with a ball to the far post, where Ezequiel Bullaude appeared to finish with his right foot, sending the ball into the back of the net, reaching 5 goals in the tournament.
A good play outside the Puebla area resulted in the second goal for Santos. Aldo López increased the lead in the 65th minute, pushing the ball into the net, once again assisted by di Yorio.
Puebla FC narrowed the gap in the 72nd minute through forward Owen González.
Subsequently, Lucca Vuoso and Kevin Balanta came on for Fran Villalba and Haret Ortega.
In the final stretch of the match, Diego Medina and Cristian Dájome replaced Ezequiel Bullaude and Lucas di Yorio.
The team led by Omar Tapia showed solid defense, especially in the final minutes of the match, holding off Puebla's attacks to secure the victory.
