Also known as “Muñeco” or “Guerrero Mayor”, he wore the Santos jersey for ten years, laying the foundations of what is now Club Santos Laguna, always giving his all. He also chose La Comarca Lagunera as his home with full conviction, despite being a native of the city of Monterrey.
The fans still remember the glorious afternoons he always provided while fully committed to the team, showing strength, determination, passion and dedication, both on and off the field, qualities that made him one of the greatest leaders of the Santos squad of yesteryear.
Now, more than 20 years after his last tournament with Santos Laguna (1992 – 1993 Season), Julio César Armendáriz feels completely grateful to Club Santos and its fans for giving something back to him, being distinguished as a Guerrero de Honor for what he gave as a footballer.
PEDRO MUÑOZ

An emblem of the Santos defense. The character with which he performed on the field established him as a Santos Laguna legend; he participated in 16 tournaments with the albiverdes, totaling 241 matches.
He is the player who has worn the albiverde jersey for the longest period of time. His first appearance dates back to the Second Professional Division in the 1987-1988 season, and his last tournament was in the Winter 2000.
He was champion in the Winter 1996 and was also a key player in the epic battles to save the top division.

JOSÉ GUADALUPE RUBIO

It is inevitable to mention as some of his characteristics the pride and temperament with which he fought in every Santos match. He wore the Guerreros jersey for practically a decade, with more than 170 matches played, during which he experienced several of the most important stages in the history of the institution.
“Lupe” Rubio has been one of the most tenacious defenders to have been part of the albiverde squad, expressing that desire to represent La Comarca Lagunera with total pride.
After contributing to achieving the stability of the verdiblancos during their early years in the First Division, the defender from La Laguna played an important role in the historic Winter 1996 Tournament, where he celebrated the first Santos Laguna championship alongside his teammates.
He played more than 13 thousand minutes defending the Club's colors, always with great commitment and a firm desire to see the team among the top ranks of Mexican football.

BENJAMÍN GALINDO

Nationality: Mexican
Nicknamed the “Maestro” for the elegance and finesse with which he performed on the field, which led him to become an indispensable player not only for the Santos squad, but also for the Mexican national team.
A player like few others, he could strike the ball with both feet, an ability that, together with his intelligence as the team's playmaker, led him to be considered a “standout”.
Originally from Tierra Blanca, Zacatecas, Benjamín has a historic legacy with Santos Laguna, as he was the first to become champion both as a player (Winter 1996) and as Head Coach (Clausura 2012).
He played 101 matches wearing the verdiblanco jersey and scored 24 goals.

JESÚS RAMÓN RAMÍREZ

Juan Flores is a reference point of the Santos attack during the institution's first stage in the top division.
During his time with Santos Laguna, which began in the 1989-90 season, the Honduran attacker stood out for his scoring ability, being credited with 45 goals in 114 matches, placing him among the institution's top goal scorers.
He was one of the first Santos idols, also remembered for his great friendship with his compatriot Dolmo Flores, the player with whom he formed a partnership in attack with the Guerreros. His ability led him to play several matches with the Honduras Senior National Team.
Better known as “Juan Goles”, he quickly became a symbol for the fans.
HÉCTOR RAYMUNDO ADOMAITIS

An elegant midfielder, highly committed and a leader in the albiverde midfield. He became a symbol of the institution, being a fundamental piece of the Guerreros' first championship in the Winter of 96.
He arrived at Santos Laguna at 23 years of age, already with experience playing in three leagues, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. Without making much noise, he began as a substitute in Pedro García's squad, and his performances quickly turned him into a key player.
He played 139 matches with the La Laguna squad and won two Citlalis as the best attacking midfielder in 1994 and 1995.

CHRISTIAN ROGELIO BENÍTEZ

With the distinction of having been named the best player of 2006 in his country, Christian Benítez arrived in La Comarca Lagunera, signed by Santos Laguna for the Apertura 07.
In his first tournament in Mexico, he made a major contribution to the team's historic top spot, and six months later, his performances were crucial to securing the third championship in the history of the verdiblanco institution, receiving the award for Best Player of the Clausura 2008.
Benítez's first stint with the Guerreros shows a total of 60 matches played and nearly five thousand minutes on the field, in which he scored 31 goals and provided seven assists.
Thanks to what he accomplished with the Santos club, Benítez moved to the English Premier League with Birmingham City.
Upon returning from his British experience, “Chucho” once again wore the Santos jersey for the Apertura 2010, a tournament in which he scored 16 goals and became the top scorer. In this second stint he played 35 matches and scored 20 goals.
RODRIGO PATRICIO RUIZ

An iconic Chilean player who arrived in Mexico to play for Puebla in the 2004-2005 Season. Possessing great technique, dribbling and one-on-one ability. A natural passer who could play on both sides and delivered precise services to his teammates.
He joined the La Laguna squad in the Summer 2000 to build a great career over 14 tournaments. In six of them he was the league's assist leader. He was a fundamental piece in the Guerreros' championship in 2001, forming an explosive partnership with Jared Borgetti and making a major contribution to his two scoring titles. Later with Matías Vuoso, who also boasts back-to-back individual scoring titles.
He played 294 matches wearing the Guerrero jersey, scored 59 goals and provided 78 assists. He is the foreign player with the most matches in the Mexican League with 638, and almost half of them were played defending the Santos colors.
JOAQUÍN REYES

Born on February 20, 1978 in Torreón, Coahuila, Joaquín Reyes possessed the qualities to play as a fullback or midfielder. He stood out for his great offensive ability, with a well-trained left foot. He liked to take on his opponents, creating space for a possible shot on goal or reaching the end line to look for a finisher inside the box.
He made his debut in Mexican Football on Matchday 1 of the Winter 2000, against Puebla's La Franja. He remained with the La Laguna squad until the Clausura 2004 Tournament and had a second stint from the Apertura 2006 to the Clausura 2007. He played 143 matches wearing the albiverde jersey, 105 of them as a starter, scoring 10 goals.

RAFAEL FIGUEROA

Rafa Figueroa is an emblem of the Guerreros youth academy, officially making his debut with Santos Laguna on August 20, 2005. His first goal wearing the albiverde jersey came on January 29, 2006, at the old Estadio Corona against Atlante.
Throughout his 10-year career as a Santos defender, Figueroa became a Liga MX champion three times, in the Clausura 2008, Clausura 2012 and Clausura 2015, in addition to winning the Copa MX Apertura 2015.
He played a total of 288 matches defending the Santos crest, including league and international competitions.
After retiring as a professional footballer, Figueroa returned to the verdiblanco institution, this time to begin his career as a coach, starting as Assistant Coach of the U-15 team, before taking on the same role with the First Team. He was a fundamental piece in securing the sixth albiverde star in the Clausura 2018 Tournament, establishing himself as an icon of football in the region, which today allows him, thanks to the support of the fans, to be considered a Guerrero de Honor.

A midfielder who played for Boca Juniors and arrived in La Comarca Lagunera in the 1992-1993 Season to take control of the midfield.
He is one of the best foreign players to have worn the Santos jersey, with the ability to win back a large number of balls and distribute them intelligently, as well as having great ball control.
He is the author of one of the most memorable goals in Santos history, in a match against Atlas at the Jalisco Stadium, carrying the ball from behind midfield and leaving his opponents behind, and before entering the box, he unleashed a lofted right-footed shot that left the Atlas goalkeeper with no chance.

JARED FRANCISCO BORGETTI

A tall player with great scoring ability, a specialist in headers. Developed in the Rojinegros del Atlas youth academy, he was transferred to Santos Laguna for the Winter 1996, the tournament in which he won the first of his two championships and scored 16 goals, playing every possible minute.
He won two scoring titles wearing the albiverde jersey, in the Winter 2000 and Summer 2001, the tournament in which he once again became champion with Santos, scoring 22 goals.
He played 295 league matches with the La Laguna squad and scored 189 goals, making him the all-time leading scorer in Santos Laguna history. In total, he played 314 matches and scored 205 goals.
He was recognized as the best player in Mexican football and best forward in 2000 and 2001, in addition to being named best forward in 2002. Also at the Mexican National Team level, Jared boasts an outstanding record, being the all-time leading scorer for El Tri with 46 goals. As a Santos Laguna player, he played in the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup, 2001 Confederations Cup, 2001 and 2004 Copa América, and 2003 Gold Cup.
