Club Santos Laguna continues its ongoing community engagement activities, reaffirming its commitment to creating a positive impact on the Laguna society.

As part of the social responsibility program "Guerreros de Corazón," the Santos Laguna Women's team visited the facilities of the Down Foundation in Torreón, where they shared a very special afternoon with the children of the institution.

During the day, the players, accompanied by members of the Technical Staff, toured the facilities, getting a closer look at the work the foundation does to promote the development, inclusion, and well-being of its beneficiaries.

Later, the most emotional moment of the day took place, where the children interacted with the Warriors, enjoying an afternoon full of joy, smiles, and activation activities.

In line with the "Winning by Serving" philosophy that guides every action of the Club, these types of initiatives aim to promote values, strengthen the social fabric, and contribute to the comprehensive development of the community.

At the end of the activity, Venezuelan defender and national team player María Peraza shared:

“It was a very beautiful space that teaches us so much, an experience that goes beyond football. We learn from the resilience of the little ones to overcome difficulties; it’s important for us to see how they face all their challenges and always have a smile. I take a lot from that.”

In the same vein, the defender elaborated on the impact of such initiatives:

“As Santos players, the example we can set and contribute to the children influences and impacts them in a special way. Everything we do to make an impact on them is very important to us.”

She also highlighted the human value these experiences represent in her personal growth:

“I really enjoy these types of activities because, beyond football, there is a life behind every fan. It’s important for us to learn from them, grow, and see a little further beyond.”
