The Mexico U-20 National Team, which includes the Warriors Juan Carlos Echilvestre, Sahiel Cedillo, and Luis Ángel Gómez, declares itself ready to embark on a new international adventure with the Concacaf U-20 Championship 2026, a tournament that will take place on Mexican soil.
The tournament will have a dual objective for El Tricolor, as it will grant tickets to the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027 and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Mexico has been placed in Group B, alongside the national teams of Antigua and Barbuda, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. The national team will debut on July 24 at 5:00 PM facing Antigua and Barbuda; subsequently, on July 27 at 8:00 PM, they will face Costa Rica, and they will close the Group Stage on July 30 at 7:00 PM against Guatemala. All three matches will be played at the Cuauhtémoc Stadium in Puebla.
The first objective for El Tricolor will be to advance to the Semifinals, a stage that would secure their qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027. Subsequently, they will aim to win the Concacaf U-20 Championship 2026 title to secure their ticket to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
