The El Salvador U-20 National Team, which includes Santos player Diego Mejía, completed a preparation stage in Atlanta, United States, where they played three matches as part of their process toward future international commitments in the category.

During their stay in North American territory, where they faced local squads, the Salvadoran team drew 2-2 with LSA Norcross, won 7-0 against LSA Mustangs, and defeated Apotheos 4-2. Diego participated in all three matches, starting in the first two games and coming on as a substitute in the third.

It is worth noting that Diego, who has been part of the Cantera Guerrera since the Clausura 2025 Tournament, played in the U-17 World Cup in Qatar 2025 with the El Salvador National Team, featuring in the group stage match against Germany.

The young albiverde player is one of eight national team players representing Santos Laguna in various settings and competitions during the international activity for the month of June.
