SANTOS LAGUNA FEMENIL ADVANCES IN CONSOLIDATING THEIR STYLE OF PLAY DURING THE PRESEASON
Santos Laguna Femenil continues strengthening their preparation for the Apertura 2026 Tournament. In their third week of work at Territorio Santos Modelo, the Guerreras maintain an intense training dynamic under the technical direction of Jhonathan Lazcano.
After an initial phase focused on physical adaptation and the incorporation of general concepts, the verdiblanco team enters a phase of work aimed at perfecting specific aspects of their game plan.
Throughout the current week, the Guerreras will hold morning sessions on Field 4 of Territorio Santos Modelo, with the goal of consolidating the principles that will characterize the team in the upcoming tournament.
As part of the plan established by the Technical Staff, they will continue working on offensive and defensive fundamentals, placing special emphasis on collective organization without the ball, coordinated pressing, and defensive behavior in a block. Offensively, the team will aim to enhance space occupation, mobility, and transitions.
It is worth noting that, as part of their preparation, the Guerreras will face a series of friendly matches during the month of July.
The Santos squad will travel to Mexico City to face Cruz Azul and Atlante on July 15 and 17, respectively. Subsequently, they will visit Querétaro to take on Gallos Femenil on July 19.
The preparation match phase will conclude on July 25 in Monterrey, when the Guerreras face Rayadas, thus closing a demanding stage of work prior to the start of the Apertura 2026.
