THE WARRIORS DEFEAT ANNAPOLIS BLUES FC IN THEIR SECOND PRESEASON TEST

Santos Laguna defeated Annapolis Blues FC by a score of 2-0 this afternoon at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, in a match corresponding to their preparation for the 2026 Apertura Tournament and the 2026 Leagues Cup.

This match represented the second preseason test for the Warriors under the technical direction of Renato Paiva.

The Warriors started the match with Héctor Holguín; Kevin Picón, Franco Pardo, Bruno Amione, Emmanuel Echeverría; Aldo López, Carlos Gruezo, Fran Villalba, Diego González, Ezequiel Bullaude, and Eduardo Aguirre.

In the 27th minute, defender Geovanni Pérez came on as a substitute for the Argentine Bruno Amione, who left the field due to injury.

Minutes later, the Warriors took the lead through Paraguayan Diego González, who appeared at the far post to head in a cross from the left side by Emmanuel Echeverría.

Near the end of the first half, goalkeeper Héctor Holguín saved a penalty kick.

In the 55th minute of regular time, players Lucas di Yorio, Javier Abella, Kevin Balanta, and Salvador Mariscal came on for Eduardo Aguirre, Kevin Picón, Franco Pardo, and Aldo López.

In the 78th minute, Argentine Lucas di Yorio extended the albiverde lead. The forward headed in a precise cross from Javier Abella, sealing the final score.

The Warriors will continue their work schedule in the United States and will have their next preparation match on June 28, when they face NY Cosmos at the Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey.
