SANTOS LAGUNA FOCUSES ON THE COMMITMENT AGAINST AMÉRICA

The First Team of Santos Laguna continues its preparation for the match against América, corresponding to matchday 3 of the Apertura 2026 Tournament, which will take place this Sunday at 5:00 PM at the Banorte Stadium.

On Wednesday morning, the team led by Renato Paiva trained at the Territorio Santos Modelo facilities, conducting a practice focused on possession exercises with transitions, work by zones and sectors, as well as technical aspects.

Today marked the second training session of the week for the Warriors, who will continue fine-tuning football and tactical details with morning training sessions from Thursday to Saturday, prior to their trip to Mexico City.

Goalkeeper Carlos Acevedo is absent from the Santos camp, as he will be part of the Liga MX All-Star Team facing the Major League Soccer representative in the MLS All-Star Game 2026, to be held at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The albiverde delegation will travel to the nation's capital on Saturday afternoon for their pre-match concentration ahead of the game against the Águilas.

Tomorrow, Thursday, after the morning training session, there will be a media session ahead of the match against the azulcrema team.

WARRIORS' SELECTED PLAYERS' ACTIVITY

The activity of the Warriors' selected players will continue intensely over the coming days.

This Thursday, the Mexico U-23 National Team will begin its participation in the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, with the presence of Santos players Geovanni Pérez and Tahiel Jiménez. The national team will debut against Venezuela and later face the Dominican Republic and Guatemala in the group stage.

Meanwhile, academy players Juan Carlos Echilvestre, Sahiel Cedillo, and Luis Ángel Gómez are part of the Mexico U-20 National Team competing in the Concacaf U-20 Championship. The tricolor team began its participation with victories over Antigua and Barbuda and Costa Rica, and this Thursday will close the group stage facing Guatemala.
