THE WARRIORS ADVANCE TO THE QUARTERFINALS OF THE UNDER-14 YOUTH ACADEMY TOURNAMENT
The Warriors secured their spot in the Quarterfinals of the National Youth Tournament after defeating Atlas FC in a penalty shootout during an exciting Round of 16 match held at the facilities of the Mexican Football Federation.
During regular time, the Saints and the Red-and-Blacks ended in a goalless draw in a very even and hard-fought match, where both teams sought the goal but were unable to break the deadlock on the scoreboard.
In the penalty shootout, the Albiverdes showcased their skill and composure, flawlessly converting all five of their shots to claim victory and secure their place among the tournament's top eight teams.
The starting lineup for Christian Pérez's team was as follows: Emiliano Olvera; José Suárez, Emiliano Agredano, Emiliano López, and Fernando Cohetero; Erick Meza, Matías López, Iker Rodríguez, and Joan Contreras; Dante Cárdenas and José Zubia.
The Warriors are now preparing to face the next round as they aim to continue advancing in the tournament, where they will take on América in the Quarterfinals.
