Santos Laguna Femenil defender, Sarina Villa, concluded her participation in the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026 by winning the bronze medal, after the El Salvador Women's National Team defeated Venezuela 2-1 in the third-place match.

Sarina once again featured in the starting XI for the Salvadoran team, thus capping off an outstanding performance in the tournament by starting in all five of her team's matches.

Throughout the competition, the verdiblanca defender contributed to victories over the Dominican Republic (1-0) and Costa Rica (1-0) during the Group Stage, results in which El Salvador kept a clean sheet. Subsequently, she started in the loss to Venezuela (0-2), in the Semifinal against Mexico, which ended 1-1 in regular time and was decided in extra time, and finally in the 2-1 victory over Venezuela that secured the bronze medal.

With Sarina's participation, Santos Laguna continues to have international representation through its players. Additionally, this Friday, the Guerreros Geovanni Pérez and Tahiel Jiménez will aim to win the gold medal with Mexico's U-23 National Team in the Final of the Central American and Caribbean Games.
