* The verdiblanco team played four high-demand preparation matches, all outside of Lagunero territory.
Las Guerreras concluded an intense preparation phase this morning ahead of the Apertura 2026 Tournament, playing their fourth and final preseason match against Rayadas at the El Barrial facilities.
The match ended with a narrow victory for the Monterrey team; however, the balance of this phase was positive for Jhonathan Lazcano's squad, both in terms of results and the performance shown throughout the preparation commitments.
During this phase, Las Guerreras had the opportunity to face four high-demand opponents, all outside of Lagunero territory, previously recording one draw and two wins. The team drew 1-1 against Cruz Azul, won 1-0 against Atlante, and defeated Querétaro 3-1 before concluding their preparation against Rayadas.
This series of matches allowed coach Jhonathan Lazcano to evaluate the team's football progress, strengthen collective understanding, and fine-tune the final details ahead of the competition's start. Additionally, the preseason represented an important opportunity to continue consolidating the integration of new players, who have shown very positive adaptation to the group's dynamics.
In this way, Las Guerreras bring an intense and thorough preseason to a close, which included work in Lagunero territory and the four aforementioned matches, strengthening the team in various aspects ahead of the start of the Apertura 2026 Tournament.
Now, the albiverde team will focus all their attention on the start of the competition and begin preparing for their debut against América, a match that will mark the beginning of their participation in the new tournament.
