The selected warriors Geovanni Pérez and Tahiel Jiménez participated with the Mexico U-23 National Team in their second match of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, drawing 1-1 against the Dominican Republic.

Defender Geovanni Pérez was part of the starting XI for the Mexican team and played a key role in the match, scoring the equalizing goal for El Tricolor in the 77th minute. Meanwhile, forward Tahiel Jiménez came on as a substitute to play the second half of the match.

With this result, Mexico earned one point in Group B and will determine their qualification to the next round on August 3, when they face Guatemala at El Cóndor Stadium in La Vega.
