Club Santos Laguna announces the incorporation of Argentine central defender Felipe Sánchez Astrolog to the First Team of the Warriors, on a one-year loan with a purchase option.

Born on April 7, 2004, in Rafaela, Argentina, Felipe is a left-footed defender who stands out for his strength in individual duels, his anticipation skills, his defensive positioning, and his solidity in aerial play, qualities that allow him to bring balance and security to the backline.

Sánchez began his development process in the youth academy of Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in 2021. His football growth led him to debut with the First Team of the La Plata club in 2023, establishing himself as one of the young promises of the institution.

His performance allowed him to make the leap to Europe to join FC Schalke 04 of Germany for the 2024-2025 season. During his time with the German team, he played two seasons, contributing to the club's promotion to the Bundesliga after winning the Bundesliga 2 title in the 2025-2026 season.
