Club Santos Laguna announces that, as part of his football development process, youth player Raúl Gutiérrez will join the Professional Football Player Development Program at Real Sporting de Gijón.
This step represents a new stage in the midfielder's training and reaffirms Club Santos Laguna's commitment to the international projection of players from the Cantera Guerrera, as part of a development path also followed by Kevin Picón, Joshua Mancha, and Sebastián Valenzuela.
Raúl, 18 years old and originally from Camargo, Chihuahua, joined the Cantera Guerrera for the Apertura 2024 Tournament, becoming part of the Under-17 category.
Over the course of four tournaments, he played with the Under-17, Under-19, and Under-21 teams of Santos Laguna, accumulating 75 official matches and 20 goals.
During his time in the verdiblanca youth system, he participated in four Liga MX final phases, reaching four finals, two with the Under-17 category and two with the Under-19 category.
Additionally, he was part of the verdiblanco team that was crowned champion of the 2025 International Youth Tournament, contributing to the achievement of the Cantera Guerrera's tenth international title.
