The First Team of Santos Laguna concluded this Friday their preparation for the start of the Apertura 2026 Tournament, after training in the morning on the field of Estadio Corona, where the coaching staff led by Renato Paiva made the final adjustments ahead of this Saturday's match.

In this way, the Warriors completed an intense week of work at Territorio Santos Modelo, which included five training sessions focused on the football and tactical readiness of the team for the start of a new season.

The verdiblanca preseason, which began in June, included work both in the Lagunero territory and in the United States, specifically in the city of Baltimore, where the squad continued to strengthen their playing style and consolidate the group for the challenges ahead.

Regarding the preparation matches, Santos Laguna played four games against Mineros de Zacatecas, Annapolis Blues FC, New York Cosmos, and América de Cali, matches that allowed the coaching staff to evaluate the squad's performance and continue fine-tuning details for the start of Liga MX.

For this tournament, the Santista team incorporated defenders Franco Pardo, Felipe Sánchez, and Mauricio Cuevas; midfielders Diego González and Joshua Mancha; as well as forward Eduardo Aguirre, players who will strengthen the squad in pursuit of the objectives set for the new season.

Around midday, the Santista delegation will embark on their journey to Monterrey, Nuevo León, where they will hold their pre-match concentration ahead of their debut in the Apertura 2026 Tournament.

The Warriors will face Rayados this Saturday in a match corresponding to matchday 1, scheduled for 7:00 PM at Estadio BBVA, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the albiverde team.
