The Santos Peñoles Cup has not only established itself as one of the most important children's and youth tournaments in Mexico but also as a key driver for the economy of the Comarca Lagunera.

In its most recent edition, this tournament generated an estimated economic impact of around 35 million pesos, resulting from the arrival of thousands of players, families, and visitors from different regions of the country and abroad.

During the competition days, sectors such as hospitality, restaurants, transportation, and local commerce directly benefit, strengthening economic activity and positioning the region as an attractive destination for sports tourism.

This impact has been recognized by the Torreón Convention and Visitors Bureau, which, at its annual event "Allies of the Destination 2025," honored the Santos Peñoles Cup in the category of Best Event with the greatest impact on formal lodging in Torreón.

This recognition highlights the Cup as the annual event with the highest number of hotel rooms occupied in the city, reflecting its drawing power and its significance within the region's tourism and sports calendar.

Driven by Club Santos Laguna in collaboration with Industrias Peñoles, this competition goes beyond sports by generating tangible benefits for the community, contributing to the economic development and the national projection of Torreón and the Comarca Lagunera.
