THE UNDER-19 WARRIORS AIM FOR FINAL PHASE SPOTS
With two matchdays remaining to conclude the regular phase of the Clausura 2026 Tournament, the Under-19 Guerreras remain in the fight for a spot in the Fiesta Grande, sitting just two points away from the Group 2 qualification positions.
In their most recent match, the Santos team secured a 1-0 home victory against Mazatlán FC, thanks to a goal by forward Julia de Santiago.
The team, led by coach Andrea Medrano, currently has 22 points, the result of a record of 7 wins, 1 draw, and 6 losses.
The next challenge for the Guerreras will be crucial for their playoff aspirations. This Sunday at 10:00 a.m., they will visit San Luis territory to face Atlético de San Luis, a direct rival in the fight for qualification. If they secure a victory, and with a favorable combination of results in the Chivas match, the albiverde team could move into Final Phase positions.
It is worth noting that in the first-round match, corresponding to matchday 8, the Santos team won 1-0 against Atlético de San Luis, with a goal by Jennifer Escareño, the team's current top scorer with four goals.
Looking ahead to this match, the Guerreras will aim to secure their third away victory of the tournament.
