The Santos goalkeeper Carlos Acevedo has once again been called up by Head Coach Javier Aguirre to join the Mexico National Team, this time ahead of the commitments corresponding to the FIFA Date in March.

The national team will face the Portugal National Team on March 28 in Mexico City, while on March 31 they will play against the Belgium National Team in Chicago, Illinois.

The Albiverde goalkeeper has been consistently considered in recent call-ups for El Tri, remaining in contention for a spot in the 2026 World Cup.

So far in the Clausura 2026 Tournament of Liga MX, Acevedo ranks as the 4th goalkeeper with the highest number of saves, recording a total of 41 interventions.

The Lagunero footballer will join the training camp at the High-Performance Center of the Mexican Football Federation once the match against Puebla FC is concluded.
