The young midfielder of Santos Laguna, Renata Ramírez, has been called up by the Mexico Women's National Under-16 Team to be part of the preparation tour that the national team will carry out in Atlanta, Georgia, from July 25 to August 2, 2026.

As part of this training camp, El Tricolor will play two preparation matches against the United States National Team at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center. The first match will take place on July 29 at 4:00 PM (CT), while the second match will be held on August 1 at 8:00 AM (CT), both in the city of Atlanta.

This call-up reaffirms Renata's continuity in the processes of the Youth National Teams, establishing herself as one of the players from the Cantera Guerrera who consistently appear in the national team's call-ups.

Additionally, this is the ninth call-up of a player from the Cantera Guerrera to their respective National Team category during the month of July, a period in which Santos Laguna has had representation in the Under-23, Under-20, Under-16, Under-15, and Under-14 categories.

Renata, originally from the Comarca Lagunera, joined the verdiblanca institution for the Apertura 2024 Tournament. Since then, she has played more than 40 matches with the Under-19 category and, in the Apertura 2025 Tournament, debuted with the First Team, also making her debut as a goal scorer.
