The Women's National Team of El Salvador, which includes Santos Laguna defender Sarina Villa, secured their spot in the Semifinals of the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, after defeating Costa Rica 1-0 and finishing in second place in Group A.
In this match, Sarina Villa once again featured in the starting XI of La Selecta, delivering an outstanding performance in the defensive zone to contribute to the Salvadoran team's second clean sheet of the tournament.
The verdiblanca defender started in all three group stage matches, establishing herself as a key player in El Salvador's defensive setup during this initial phase of the competition.
The next challenge for the Salvadoran team will be this Tuesday, when they face the Mexico National Team in the Semifinals. The match will take place at 3:00 PM (CT) at the Moca 85 Stadium.
It is worth noting that Sarina Villa is one of the 11 Guerreros players who have represented their respective national teams over the past month.
Once her participation in the Central American and Caribbean Games concludes, Sarina will rejoin Santos Laguna.
