Santos Laguna suffered a 4-2 defeat against Pachuca in a match corresponding to the 14th round of the Clausura 2026 Tournament, played at the Hidalgo Stadium under rainy conditions in La Bella Airosa.

The Warriors took the lead in the early moments of the match. After a great pass into space by Fran Villalba, Lucas di Yorio poked the ball past the opposing goalkeeper, evaded him, and finished with a low shot into the open net. With this goal, the Argentine forward reached five goals in the tournament, adding four assists in 11 matches played.

Subsequently, Pachuca had managed to equalize through Salomón Rondón; however, the play was invalidated due to a prior foul on Kevin Balanta.

The home team managed to equalize the score in the 14th minute with a shot inside the box by Víctor Guzmán.

Later, in the 21st minute, a precise cross from Javier Abella was nearly capitalized on by Ezequiel Bullaude, whose header went just wide.

In the 34th minute, the Tuzos regained the lead through Guzmán, who scored with a cross-shot from the edge of the box.

At the end of the first half, a timely intervention by Carlos Acevedo and a long-distance attempt stood out as the most notable actions.

For the second half, Santos coach Omar Tapia made his first substitution, bringing on Ramiro Sordo in place of Cristian Dájome.

In the 51st minute, Santos Laguna was reduced to ten men after Bruno Amione was sent off following contact with Salomón Rondón. Moments later, Efraín Orona entered the field in place of Sahiel Cedillo.

The home team's third goal came in the 59th minute, once again through Víctor Guzmán, who appeared at the far post to send the ball into the back of the net. Later, in the 72nd minute, Carlos Sánchez scored Pachuca's fourth goal with a shot that left Acevedo with no chance.

The Warriors made additional adjustments with the introductions of Geovanni Pérez in the 74th minute, as well as Tahiel Jiménez and Diego Medina in the 81st minute, replacing Ezequiel Bullaude, Lucas di Yorio, and Fran Villalba, respectively.

Santos Laguna managed to narrow the gap in the 88th minute, following an own goal by Sergio Rodríguez, sealing the final 4-2 scoreline.

The starting lineup for the albiverde team consisted of Carlos Acevedo, Javier Abella, Kevin Balanta, Bruno Amione, Emmanuel Echeverría, Fran Villalba, Javier Güémez, Sahiel Cedillo, Cristian Dájome, Ezequiel Bullaude, and Lucas di Yorio.
