Santos Laguna U-21 lost their undefeated streak at the start of the Apertura 2026 Tournament, after falling by the minimum difference against Chivas, in a match corresponding to Matchday 4 of the competition, held this afternoon on Field 5 of the High-Performance Center at Territorio Santos Modelo.

With this result, the Warriors remain with seven points in the standings after the first four rounds of the championship.

The team led by Carlos Arturo Cruz will look to get back on track in their next match, when they visit Puebla FC on Saturday, August 22, in a game corresponding to Matchday 5 of the Apertura 2026.

It is worth noting that after being crowned with the U-20 Tricolor in the Concacaf Championship, players Luis Ángel Gómez, Sahiel Cedillo, and Juan Carlos Echilvestre returned to action with Santos Laguna U-21.
