Santos Laguna U-21 fell by a score of 2-1 against Toluca FC this morning at the Metepec facilities, in a match corresponding to Matchday 9 of the Apertura 2026 Tournament.

The match was played at an intense and competitive pace, with both teams engaging in a physically demanding duel. The Warriors maintained their intensity throughout the 90 minutes and sought to create opportunities up front.

The home team took the lead in the 38th minute and extended their advantage in the 63rd minute.

In the final stretch of the match, forward Magnus López appeared to score the goal for the green-and-white team, bringing the Warriors closer on the scoreboard. The Santos team continued to push for an equalizer until the final whistle.

Santos Laguna U-21 will continue their preparations for their next match, where they will host Pachuca next Saturday at the Territorio Santos Modelo facilities.

The green-and-white team will aim to capitalize on their home advantage and continue adding points in the competition. So far, they have recorded one win, two draws, and one loss in their matches played on home turf.
