The First Team of Santos Laguna continues intensifying its preparation for the Apertura 2026 Tournament. This Friday, the Warriors completed their first training session at Territorio Santos Modelo, maintaining their focus on consolidating the footballing philosophy promoted by Head Coach Renato Paiva.

The activity began with a morning session and will conclude this afternoon with another training session on the field. The squad will wrap up this week of work tomorrow with a morning practice, entering the final stretch toward their last preseason match.

Within the verdiblanco camp, the integration process of full-back Mauricio Cuevas continues, as he keeps adding work with the rest of the group. Likewise, Franco Pardo, Diego González, Eduardo Aguirre, and Joshua Mancha remain highly focused since joining the Santos team.

The Warriors are already setting their sights on the international match against América de Cali, a historic Colombian football club and one of the most traditional teams in South America, which will visit Estadio Corona next Thursday, July 9, at 7:00 PM.

The scarlet team will arrive in the Comarca Lagunera after finishing in fourth place in the Apertura 2026 Tournament in Colombia and following their participation in the Copa Sudamericana, making it a challenging test for Santos Laguna as they conclude their preparation.

In addition to being the final rehearsal before the start of the Apertura 2026 Tournament, this match will mark the return of an international preparation game to Estadio Corona, offering Santos fans the opportunity to witness a match against one of the most representative clubs in South American football.
