• The Warriors achieved their third consecutive home victory, kept a clean sheet for the third time in the tournament, and continue climbing positions in the standings.
Santos Laguna continues its positive run in the Apertura 2026. With their most recent victory, the albiverde team reached five consecutive wins, the third in a row at the Estadio Corona, and recorded their third match without conceding goals in the tournament.
At the end of the match, Eduardo “Mudo” Aguirre highlighted the work done by the team since the start of the competition and noted that the current results are a reflection of the accumulated effort over the past weeks.
“I’m very happy with the result. The team has worked for this and has done things very well since the start of the tournament. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, the results weren’t coming; however, now we are reaping the rewards of all the work we’ve been putting in,” he shared.
The Santos forward, who also scored in the match, expressed his satisfaction at scoring again at the Estadio Corona and emphasized the importance of maintaining the positive momentum.
“I really needed a goal, and what better place to do it than here at the Corona. Now we have to keep going down this path and hope for many more to come,” he commented.
Aguirre also acknowledged the unwavering support of the Warrior Fans, who have stayed close to the team even during the challenging moments of the tournament.
“The fans have been involved since day one, and now we are trying to give back a little of everything they give us. Even though the results weren’t favorable, we had great attendance, and the people always supported us. We are very grateful for all that support and hope they continue with us because better things are coming,” he stated.
Finally, the forward made it clear that the team is already focused on their next match, with the intention of extending their winning streak and continuing to earn points.
“We have to stay on this good path and, above all, keep adding points here at home. Now it’s time to recover, work on preparing for the match, and aim for the three points,” he expressed.
