Santos Laguna Femenil officially presented its ten new signings for the Apertura 2026 Tournament of the Women's League this Thursday during a press conference held at the Orlegi Auditorium in Territorio Santos Modelo.
The conference was led by Alejandro Irarragorri Kalb, President of Club Santos Laguna; Hugo Abella, Women's Sports Manager; and Jhonathan Lazcano, Head Coach of Santos Laguna Femenil.
Initially, the verdiblanco strategist Jhonathan Lazcano shared his enthusiasm for the arrival of the new team members:
"I am very happy to officially present our new players today. I am very pleased that the players have come to contribute and have shown why they are here, with the commitment to be Guerreras. They take on this challenge and this responsibility."
For his part, the Women's Sports Manager, Hugo Abella, highlighted the work done to form a team aligned with the sports model the Club seeks to consolidate:
"The formation of the team is the result of planning and analysis work that we carried out together with the Technical Staff. We have been working on structuring a unique playing model for Santos Laguna Femenil, and we are confident that the profiles we have chosen are the right ones for this model."
Meanwhile, the Club President, Alejandro Irarragorri Kalb, concluded this first part of the presentations and spoke about the consolidation of the Santos Laguna Femenil project and the institutional commitment to strengthen it:
"Today we feel confident in setting the objectives for what lies ahead for Santos Laguna in the coming years. We have set the goal of qualifying for the Liguilla, but we know it is a process, and we must provide all the conditions to compete."
"Today we feel very confident about what is coming. After three transfer windows, we have invested capital in salaries; the players' and the entire team's staff salaries have increased by 45% in the last two years. We have also initiated an investment process in infrastructure to provide the best conditions for our team."

Maried Rodríguez Valle – Goalkeeper (Number 12)
The goalkeeper was born on August 1, 2005. She began her career with Pachuca, being part of the Tuzas Sub 19 from Apertura 2022 to Clausura 2025, before joining the First Team during the Apertura 2025 and Clausura 2026 tournaments. Her achievements include the Sub 19 championship in Clausura 2024 and the Campeón de Campeonas title in Clausura 2025.
Gineva López Villaseñor – Central Defender (Number 29)
Known as "Gina," she was born on September 14, 2007, in Modesto, California, and plays as a central defender. She began her career in León's Sub 19 category and later joined Mazatlán FC. At the national team level, she has been called up to the Sub 17 team.
Sarina Villa Cuéllar – Central Defender (Number 2)
The central defender, originally from Bellevue, Washington, United States, was born on June 1, 2006. She began her development in youth soccer in the United States, later continuing her career with the University of Texas and the University of Indiana teams. Internationally, she has represented the El Salvador National Team in the Sub 17, Sub 20, and Senior categories, playing in Gold Cup qualifiers and preparation matches.
Laveni Vaka – Central Defender (Number 4)
The central defender, originally from Burlingame, California, United States, and of Tongan descent, was born on November 8, 2001. She began her career at Brigham Young University, where she played from 2019 to 2023. She later joined Bay FC of the NWSL in 2024 and Fort Lauderdale United of the USL from 2024 to 2026. Internationally, she has been called up by the Tonga National Team.
Carol Fernanda Soto Díaz – Fullback (Number 21)
Originally from Liberal, Kansas, she was born on May 19, 2003, and plays as a right-back. She has experience in the Liga MX Femenil, having been part of Pumas during the Apertura 2025 Tournament. She has also been called up to the Mexican Sub 23 National Team.
Karen Lucía de León Pescador – Defensive Midfielder (Number 11)
Born on August 26, 1999, in Durango, Karen plays as a defensive midfielder. She debuted in the Liga MX Femenil with León in 2017 and later played for Necaxa for seven years, establishing an important career in Mexican soccer.
Amaya Sparkle Arias – Defensive Midfielder (Number 26)
The defensive midfielder, originally from Burbank, California, United States, was born on October 28, 2004. She developed her career at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, where she played from 2022 to 2026. During the summer of 2025, she also played for SoCal FC.
Ivonne Areli González Rendón – Winger (Number 24)
Born on October 10, 2005, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Ivonne plays as a winger. She completed her development process with Chivas, where she stayed for a decade and made her professional debut in 2023. She has represented Mexico in the Sub 20 and Sub 23 categories, standing out in the Pre-World Cup and the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
Ahtziri Méndez Munguía – Winger (Number 19)
Originally from Mérida, Yucatán, she was born on January 24, 2004, and plays as a winger. She debuted in the Liga MX Femenil with Toluca FC in the Clausura 2023 Tournament. Throughout her career, she has also played for León, Pumas, Puebla, and Necaxa, gaining extensive experience.
Ariatna Michelle Dorantes González – Forward (Number 14)
Originally from Mexico City, she was born on March 11, 2003, and plays as a forward. Her most recent stint in the Liga MX Femenil was with Pumas, where she played during the Apertura 2025 and Clausura 2026 tournaments. She was also part of the Mexican Sub 15 National Team.
