The Guerreras are working at full capacity to face their final commitment of the Torneo Clausura 2026, where they will host Querétaro this Saturday at 5:00 PM at Estadio Corona, with the mission of earning points at home and bringing joy to their fans.

The Lagunero team began their weekly preparation yesterday, Monday, including goalkeeper Kathya Mendoza, who reported back after attending the call of the Ecuador National Team during the FIFA Date, a period in which she participated in a training camp with a couple of friendly matches.

It is worth mentioning that, during the match against the Querétaro team, the Santos fans will also have the opportunity to join the most fun donation in football: the Guerretón 2026. Attendees can exchange a stuffed animal or toy for a ticket at the box office; these items will be donated to children in the region.

In this context, midfielder Marianne Martínez, who has represented the albiverde colors since the Apertura 2018 and has experienced this initiative in various editions, shared her feelings about being part of it:

“Just like every year, I feel very excited about the great social work the Club does for the little ones in the framework of Children's Day. I am proud and excited to see how many stuffed animals we will collect in this edition.”

She also highlighted the atmosphere surrounding this dynamic:

“Guerretón is a very fun donation, a true football celebration; both kids and adults enjoy it a lot, whether it’s during the stuffed animal rain or collecting the donations.”

Finally, the Lagunera invited the Santos fans to join this initiative:

“I want to tell people to participate, to join this very special dynamic. During the Guerreras' match, they can also contribute by bringing a stuffed animal or toy, and on Sunday, against Rayados, support the Guerreros with the stuffed animal rain. I am already ready to participate this year; I always feel very proud to belong to a Club that supports the community.”
