SANTOS LAGUNA FACES ITS THIRD WEEK OF PRESEASON AND THE NEXT STAGE IN THE UNITED STATES
After a day of recovery following an intense second week of preseason, which included double training sessions, the First Team of Santos Laguna returned this morning to Territorio Santos Modelo to continue their preparation for the Apertura 2026 Tournament.
Under the guidance of Renato Paiva, the team held their daily session at their headquarters, maintaining their focus on reaching their best form ahead of the start of the competition.
The verdiblanco team will return to work this Tuesday in a morning session, while on Wednesday they will play their first preparation match against Mineros de Zacatecas, a team from the Liga de Expansi贸n MX. The match will be played in a format of three 30-minute periods.
On Thursday, the Guerreros will train starting at 9:00 a.m. at Territorio Santos Modelo and will later travel to Mexico City as part of the logistics prior to their trip to the United States.
On Friday, June 19, Santos Laguna will travel to Baltimore, Maryland, where they will continue the next stage of their preparation. The team will remain in the United States until June 30, during which they have scheduled eight training sessions, as well as two friendly matches.
During their stay in the United States, the santista team will face Annapolis Blues FC on June 23 and New York Cosmos on June 28, matches that will help strengthen their playing style and continue fine-tuning details ahead of the start of the official competition.
The Guerreros will debut in the Apertura 2026 Tournament on July 18, when they visit Rayados in the activity of matchday 1 of the tournament.
