The First Team of Santos Laguna trained on Friday morning on the field of Estadio Corona, thus concluding their preparation for the match against Atlas FC, corresponding to Matchday 2 of the Apertura 2026 Tournament, which will take place this Saturday at 9:00 PM at Territorio Santos Modelo.

The practice focused on fine-tuning the final tactical and football details ahead of the match against the Rojinegros, with the goal of arriving in the best possible condition for the second game of the tournament.

In the afternoon, the team led by Renato Paiva will meet at TSM and then head to their hotel for concentration, where they will make the final adjustments before the match against the team from Guadalajara.

This Saturday's match will mark the official presentation of Santos Laguna at Estadio Corona in the Apertura 2026 Tournament, also representing the reunion of the team with the albiverde fans.

Prior to this match, Argentine defender Felipe Sánchez, who debuted with the Santos jersey in the previous match against Monterrey, commented in an interview:

“The week was very good. All the training sessions went very well, so we are very motivated, especially because the match is at home; we cannot let the points slip away. We are prepared. We will give everything to achieve the victory at home and with our people.”
