EIGHT SELECTED WARRIORS IN THE MONTH OF JUNE
As part of the international activity in the month of June, eight Verdiblancos footballers have been called up to different categories of National Teams.
Heading the list is goalkeeper Carlos Acevedo, who is included in the 26-player squad of Head Coach Javier Aguirre to represent Mexico in the 2026 World Cup, which will begin on June 11.
Goalkeeper Kathya Mendoza received a call-up from the Ecuador National Team to play in a new double matchday within the CONMEBOL Nations League, seeking a ticket to the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027. "La Tri" will face Chile in Santiago and later host Argentina in Quito.
Youth players Geovanni Pérez and Tahiel Jiménez were called up by the Mexico U-23 National Team to participate in a training camp in Toluca from May 31 to June 9, during which the national team will play two preparation matches as part of their journey toward the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.
Regarding the Mexico U-20 National Team, Santos players Juan Carlos Echilvestre, Sahiel Cedillo, and Luis Ángel Gómez joined to compete in the Revelations Cup in the city of Veracruz, where El Tri will face Japan and Piratas FC.
Meanwhile, academy player Diego Mejía joined the El Salvador U-20 National Team for a preparation tour in Atlanta, United States, thus continuing his international development process with the Central American team.
