The Mexico U-20 National Team was crowned champion of the Concacaf U-20 Championship after defeating the United States 2-0 in the Final, held this Sunday at the Banorte Stadium.

In the decisive match, Guerrero Juan Carlos Echilvestre started for the Mexican team, while fellow Santos player Luis 脕ngel G贸mez entered the field in the 75th minute. Meanwhile, Sahiel Cedillo remained an option for substitution.

In this way, the three youth players from Club Santos Laguna concluded a highly significant tournament, playing key roles during the various stages of the competition and contributing to the national team's successful campaign.

In addition to the championship, Mexico achieved two important international objectives during this tournament. By advancing to the Semifinals, they secured their qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027, while their presence in the Final also earned them a spot in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

The participation of the three Guerreros was consistent throughout the group stage and the knockout rounds.

In the case of Sahiel Cedillo, the midfielder made his mark on the scoreboard during the group stage against Guatemala with a spectacular free-kick goal that contributed to the national team's victory.

Meanwhile, Juan Carlos Echilvestre had a decisive performance in the Quarterfinals against Panama, a match in which the Santos fullback scored a crucial header to help Mexico advance to the next round.
