MAURICIO CUEVAS, NEW WARRIOR
Club Santos Laguna announces the permanent addition of full-back Mauricio Aimar Cuevas to the First Team of the Guerreros.
Born on February 10, 2003, in Los Angeles, California, Mauricio stands out for his dynamism, intensity, and ability to join the attack, as well as his versatility to perform on both flanks, qualities that have allowed him to build a career in American soccer and make the leap to European football.
Trained at the LA Galaxy Academy, Cuevas began his career with LA Galaxy II, where he started to solidify his football development. In 2022, he joined Club NXT, the affiliate of Club Brugge in Belgium. He later returned to the Los Angeles organization to join the First Team of LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer, gaining experience in the top American league.
On the international stage, the new Guerrero has represented the United States in various youth categories. As part of that process, he won the Concacaf Under-20 Championship in 2022 and participated in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in 2023.
With youth, international experience, and significant potential, Mauricio Cuevas joins to contribute to the dynamics of the Santos team.
