The Guerreras played their second preparation match this morning ahead of the Apertura 2026 Tournament, defeating Atlante by a score of 1-0 at the High-Performance Center in Ajusco, Mexico City.

The team, led by Jhonathan Lazcano, showed positive performance throughout the match and found their reward in the final stretch of the game when Celeste Guevara scored to seal the victory for Santos.

It is worth noting that in their first match of this preparation tour, played last Wednesday against Cruz Azul at the Seminario Menor de Acoxpa, the Guerreras drew 1-1, with a goal scored by Ugandan forward Sandra Nabweteme.

Santos Laguna's starting lineup consisted of Tabatha Rivas; Fernanda Soto, Laveni Vaka, Karla Rodríguez, and Sasha Pickard; Lia Romero, Karen de León, Yessenia Novella, and Ivonne González; Ariatna Dorantes and Sandra Nabweteme.

The Guerreras will travel to Querétaro to continue their preparation tour. Tomorrow, they will hold a training session, and next Sunday, they will conclude this phase of work by facing Querétaro Femenil at the CEGAR facilities.
