In the continuation of matchday 14 of the 2026 Clausura Tournament of the Liga MX Femenil, Santos Laguna fell by a score of 2-1 against Atlético de San Luis, in a match played this afternoon at the Estadio Corona.

The Guerreras took the lead in the 14th minute, following an outstanding individual play by Yessenia Novella, who assisted Samantha Calvillo. The albiverde forward finished with a first-touch shot to score her third goal of the tournament.

Minutes later, the Santistas came close to extending their lead when Sandra Nabweteme attempted a long-range shot that was deflected by the opposing goalkeeper.

The Potosino team responded and turned the score around. In the 26th minute, Enyerliannys Higuera completed a counterattack to equalize the match, and a minute later, in an unfortunate play for the verdiblanca side, the Venezuelan forward herself scored the second goal with a long-range shot that ended up in the back of the net.

In the second half, the Laguneras came out determined to find the equalizer, creating significant chances. Notable attempts included a shot by Vivian Ikechukwu that went just wide, as well as a rebound shot by Samantha Calvillo that was saved by the goalkeeper.

With the intention of adding more depth to the attack, Lia Romero came on in place of Doménica Rodríguez in the 71st minute, while Anahí Gómez replaced Samantha Calvillo in the 78th minute.

In the final stretch, Sandra Nabweteme tried again from long range, but without success. Later, Lia Romero had an opportunity inside the box but failed to make proper contact with the ball.

Despite the Guerreras' efforts, luck was not on their side in the closing moments of the match, resulting in a victory for the visiting team.
