THE WARRIORS ADVANCE IN THEIR PRESEASON WITH ON-COURT WORK
The Guerreras continue advancing in their preparation for the Apertura 2026 Tournament. After completing the medical and physical evaluations corresponding to the start of the preseason, the Santos squad is now fully working on the field at the Territorio Santos Modelo facilities.
Under the technical direction of Jhonathan Lazcano, the Laguneras began this week with sessions focused on physical strengthening, as well as the development of technical and tactical concepts, laying the foundation for the upcoming tournament. On-field activities will continue until tomorrow, thus concluding the first week of preseason work.
One of the highlights in the verdiblanco camp is the reintegration of goalkeeper Kathya Mendoza, who returned to the Comarca Lagunera after her participation with the Ecuador National Team in commitments corresponding to the CONMEBOL Nations League.
Looking ahead to the start of official competition, the Guerreras will maintain their preparation at Territorio Santos Modelo over the coming weeks, complementing their work with a series of friendly matches that will allow them to continue strengthening their style of play.
As part of this preparation stage, the Santos squad will embark on a tour through the center of the country. In Mexico City, they will face Cruz Azul and Atlante on July 15 and 17, respectively. Subsequently, they will visit Querétaro to take on Gallos Femenil on July 19.
The preparation match schedule will conclude in Monterrey, where the Guerreras will face Rayadas on July 25, thus wrapping up a demanding phase of work prior to the start of the Apertura 2026.
