Club Santos Laguna announces the addition of Argentine midfielder Facundo Agustín Cáseres to the First Team of the Warriors on a permanent transfer.
Born on May 28, 2001, in Santa Fe, Argentina, Cáseres is 25 years old and plays as a midfielder, standing out for his ball recovery ability, intensity, mobility, and game reading.
Facundo completed his development process at Vélez Sarsfield, the club where he made his professional debut in 2020. Subsequently, he continued his career in European football, where between 2021 and 2023 he played for NK Istra 1961 in the Croatian First Division.
In 2023, he joined SC Farense in the Portuguese First Division, and a year later, he moved to Gil Vicente, also in the top tier of Portuguese football, where he played during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 seasons.
His performance and consistency led him to establish himself as one of the most reliable midfielders in the Portuguese League, particularly during his last campaign with Gil Vicente. In the 2025-2026 season, he participated in 29 league matches, starting 27 of them, accumulating over 2,100 minutes of play, confirming his prominence and consistency in the Portuguese team's midfield.
With four seasons of experience in European football, the Argentine midfielder arrives at Santos Laguna to strengthen the central area of the field and contribute his ball recovery, intensity, mobility, and balance to the Warriors' gameplay.
Facundo Cáseres is already in the Laguna region, ready to join the First Team's activities.
