The Under-21 and Under-19 categories of Santos Laguna started their participation in the Apertura 2026 Tournament on the right foot, after defeating Rayados last Saturday in the opening matchday of their respective competitions, at the El Barrial facilities.

The Under-21 team opened the day with a comeback to win 2-1 against the Monterrey side. After trailing in the first half, the Santos team responded in the second half. The Warriors' goals came through forward Magnus López and Lucca Vuoso, who forced an own goal from the local defense after creating danger inside the box.

Meanwhile, the Under-19 team secured a 1-0 victory. Early in the second half, goalkeeper Matías Velázquez saved a penalty, a decisive intervention in the course of the match. Minutes later, Ángel Ibarra scored the goal that sealed the victory for Santos.

With these results, the Under-21 and Under-19 categories of Santos Laguna earned their first three points of the Apertura 2026 Tournament, marking a positive start for the Cantera Guerrera.

Both teams will train throughout the week in morning sessions at the High-Performance Center of Territorio Santos Modelo, focusing on maintaining their strong performance in their next match.
