Carlos Acevedo, goalkeeper of Santos Laguna, is part of the list of 26 footballers called up by Head Coach Javier Aguirre to represent Mexico in the 2026 World Cup.

The Guerrero youth player, who has been part of the Tricolor's training camp since May 6, will participate in a World Cup for the first time in his career.

Trained in the Youth Academy of the Guerreros, Carlos has developed his entire professional career wearing the green and white colors, debuting in the Apertura 2016 Tournament.

Carlos Acevedo's call-up for the 2026 World Cup represents the presence of a new Santos Laguna footballer in the highest national team competition at the global level.

The Mexico National Team will face Serbia next Thursday, June 4, at the Nemesio Diez Stadium in Toluca, thus concluding their preparation for the World Cup.

The national team will debut in the World Cup on Thursday, June 11, against South Africa at the Mexico City Stadium.
