•    Luis Ángel Gómez and Sahiel Cedillo are part of the call-up for the Mexico U-20 National Team.

Santos Laguna continues to have a presence in the various processes of the National Teams, and during this FIFA Date, three "Guerreros Canteranos" will represent Mexico in the U-20 and U-23 categories.

Luis Ángel Gómez and Sahiel Cedillo are part of the call-up for the Mexico U-20 National Team, which is in Spain for a preparation tour to continue their process towards their upcoming international commitments.

The team, led by Alex Diego, has a roster of 22 players and will have its first match this Wednesday, September 30, when they face their Spanish counterparts. Subsequently, they will face the United Arab Emirates on Friday, October 2, and will conclude their tour on Sunday, October 4, against Brazil.

For Gómez and Cedillo, this call-up represents the continuation of a process with the U-20 category, after being part of the squad that won the Concacaf U-20 Championship and secured qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Both "Guerreros Canteranos" also have experience with the Santos Laguna First Team in Liga MX, taking significant steps in their development process and solidifying the path they have traveled from the youth academy to the top tier.

Juan Carlos Echilvestre, who had initially been called up to the Mexico U-20 National Team and was part of the squad that achieved the aforementioned accomplishments, will not participate in this tour as he is recovering from a muscle injury.

Meanwhile, Geovanni Pérez was called up to the Mexico U-23 National Team, led by Eduardo Arce, for activities corresponding to this FIFA Date.

The national team’s training camp has already begun and will include a match against Pachuca on October 2, as part of the Copa Pachuca. Subsequently, Mexico U-23 will continue their preparation against Atlante.

With these call-ups, Santos Laguna has a total of 18 "Guerreros Canteranos" called up to different national teams during 2026.
