ALDO LÓPEZ SHARED THE TEAM'S CURRENT STATUS DURING THE FIFA DATE
After the first training session this Thursday at Territorio Santos Modelo, the albiverde midfielder Aldo López spoke to the media in a press conference, where he highlighted the team's current form and the confidence gained after the last matchday.
The Santos player noted that the victory against Puebla FC represented an important emotional boost for the group ahead of the next match.
“The previous match vs. Puebla FC was very good for us in terms of motivation after securing the three points at home. The team has shown improvement and a different mindset. We are preparing for the match vs. América with the goal of earning three points at home.”
López also spoke about the arrival of coach Omar Tapia, particularly regarding the intensity of play:
“Professor Omar Tapia has instilled the importance of intensity in us, and in that regard, the numbers have improved since his arrival. We will continue to improve physically, as well as tactically and in our football. We will take it step by step, match by match, showing our best version to perform in the best way possible.”
Similarly, the midfielder acknowledged that the team did not show its best version at the start of the tournament, although he assured that the group is aware of their current situation:
“In the first matches, we were not the team that earned 20 points last tournament. With the arrival of Omar Tapia, the team has looked different, completely changed its face, and brought out a new version of ourselves. It has been a challenge, but we are aware that we are improving.”
The albiverde team will continue their preparation this Thursday with a second session scheduled at 5:00 PM at Territorio Santos Modelo.
