Club Santos Laguna continues contributing talent to the various categories of the Mexico National Team and internationally, with 11 selected Warriors during the month of July.

The goalkeeper from Laguna, Carlos Acevedo, was part of the call-up for the Mexico National Team for the FIFA World Cup Mexico, United States, and Canada 2026.

The Santos youth players Edgar Medina and Guillermo Gutiérrez, members of the Mexico U-15 National Team, as well as Joan Contreras, called up to the U-14 National Team, concluded their participation positively in the FMF Super Cup 2026, a tournament held from July 14 to 17.

In the Mexico U-16 Women’s National Team, Renata Ramírez represents our country in the preparation tour taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, where they will face the United States National Team twice.

Meanwhile, Juan Carlos Echilvestre, Sahiel Cedillo, and Luis Ángel Gómez are part of the Mexico U-20 National Team competing in the Concacaf Championship 2026, a qualifying tournament for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027 and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

El Tricolor finished the Group Stage with a perfect record, after defeating Antigua and Barbuda (3-0), Costa Rica (2-0), and Guatemala (4-0), securing the top spot in Group B and their qualification to the Quarterfinals. In the match against the Guatemalan team, Sahiel Cedillo made his mark on the scoreboard by exceptionally converting a free kick.

Additionally, defender Sarina Villa was called up by the El Salvador National Team to compete in the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026. The Warriors’ defender debuted with a 1-0 victory over the Dominican Republic, being part of the starting eleven for the Salvadoran team.

Finally, Warriors Geovanni Pérez and Tahiel Jiménez were called up by the Mexico U-23 National Team to compete in the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026. In their debut, the Mexican team defeated Venezuela with Tahiel Jiménez as a starter and Geovanni Pérez as a substitute option, earning their first three points of the tournament.
