The Mexican national team came from behind to defeat El Salvador 3-1 on Friday night in San Salvador, after conceding a first half penalty. Santos Laguna midfielder Jesus Molina went 15 minutes as the third sub for El Tri.
After heading into halftime down a goal, Hector Moreno equalized for Mexico in the 51 minute from the center of the area when he poked a grounded ball into the back of the net, beating El Salvador 'keeper Derby Carrillo. Angel Sepulveda headed in Mexico's second in the 57 minute off a perfectly weighted cross into the area by Hector Herrera.
El Salvador was whistled for a penalty after and Raul Jimenez converted in the 72 minute to pull Mexico ahead 3-1. In the 75 minute, Jesus Molina came on for Rafa Marquez as Juan Carlos Osorio's final sub of the game.
Mexico will return to the captial for Tuesday's game against Honduras at Estadio Azteca, and Molina is expected to return to Torreon to train with the team ahead of Santos' week eight game in Aguascalientes against Necaxa on Saturday, September 10.
